Introduction

Apologies for being late with this issue. I've taken procrastination to a higher level this month. Some new anti-spam rules came into force November 1, requiring authors to advise/warn subscribers that a newsletter may contain advertising from the author and others. So I decided to make sure that my list was bullet-proof, and move my list management to Kiosk's autoresponder, with double-opt-in and IP address logging, to cover myself, as well as the message about possible advertising. And left it to the last minute again.

Fr33bies

To get the freebies this month, you'll have to RESUBSCRIBE please. Pretty please.

Of course it's worth it. It includes the link to the fantastic "12 Days of Christmas". Until the 25th December, VERY SUCCESSFUL marketers have got together to give away 78 fantastic freebies! You have to see this one to believe it. An excellent viral marketing ploy - they are going to set records on hits to this site.

Marketing and Tech Tips

A couple of recent articles have suggested the use of Blogs to improve search engine position. Blogs are typically frequently updated, so Google can be persuaded to visit you frequently. They typically have lots of links, and this can only help your main site. So I went to Blogger.com, and setup a new blog, Get Paid Read Email BlogSpot. Incredibly easy to use. If you don't have your own website yet, this is a great place to start.

Then it was time to promote the site. Using tips from a recent SitePro article, I submitted it to to is Google, Altavista and Fast. Next comes these engines specific to Blogs:
BlogSearchEngine
BlogHop
BlogWise
DayPop

A great find this month was the free email encoder from SiteUp. This is a free service that will encode your email address in a way that is not readable by programs attempting to harvest your address from your web pages. I'm tempted to go through all my old email addresses and start allover again with new encoded ones. Something for a rainy day.

So while on the topic of defending yourself against spammers and link hijackers, I went looking through some forums to find free affiliate link defenders. I found a post pointing to Affiliate Defender mentioned here. It comes from Webmarketingcourses, so they deserve a plug.

If you had joined MyAffiliateCentre last month, it also comes with a free cloaking program, to disguise your links with javascript. Although I noticed that if you right-click on the link and look at its properties, you can still find out where the link goes to.

Another technique that improved my efficiency this month, was the SHIFT key. You know when you open your inbox, and have lots of emails to read, and want to do them all at once. Simply hold the Shift key down as you open each email, and the email will open in a new window. Then (assuming you use Crazybrowser) you can just tab between windows until you've read them all. Mind-blowingly simple! Not more waiting for emails to open and close. I probably should be embarrassed that I didn't know about this one before.

You may have noticed changes in Google this month. They called it the "Florida" update. Here is an excellent article about the changes SearchengineGuide

I'm still struggling trying to get my favourite page listed. I finally noticed (via the ALLINURL command) that one page of a-get-paid-site was not indexed on Google. And of course, it was the one I really wanted. I think it was a combination of the length of the address (ten components, so Google wouldn't let me search directly for it) and possibly being over-optimised for my searchphrase. So I renamed the page, and brought the keyword density down to about 14% using the searchengineworld keyword analyser. And will wait and see until the next update.

Business Programs

A late addition, just opened on 6th December: SmartWebMarketer. Courtesy of the MJV5000 group again. This one is seriously exploding. I have 74 people already in my 4x10 forced matrix. A gigantic amount of giveaways for a one-time $10. It aims to provide everything you need for an online business. Don't wait on this one.

Google's Adsense finally approved my website www.free-marketing-help.com. So now you will see the little Google ads down the right hand side of each page. I had sent an email to Google support, as I couldn't understand why it had been rejected previously. And this time they said it did follow the rules, and approved me. Yippee! My Free Marketing Site is making money!

To add another site, you apparently place the code on your site, and the Google spiders will notice, and trigger the manual inspection-approval. But alas, I just got notified they don't have a place for the Get Paid kind of sites. Oh well, back to AdOptimal banner advertising.

C.A.N - Community Action Network, is definitely jumping. They have been releasing lots of new free products for members lately. They started with the marketing framework and safelist organiser, and will be releasing an autosurf and adtracker soon.

Paid Email/Survey/Surf

ExitCashFlow died loudly and painfully. The domain name was up for sale and was bought by a forum regular, also via a painful battle. It used to be run by two young guys, one of whom was frequently literally out at sea, and was always running behind in payments. The new incarnation should be interesting. Since the program first started, MakoLinks and ShareAdSpace would have sucked away a lot of the old members.

GoldSalary also seems to have died. It no longer works, and no-one can track down the webmaster.

Securing your home PC from viruses, hijackings and trojan horse programs has been a very active topic on the forums. I've updated the Security page with the latest tips, but expect more to come.

I had a look at the AutoSurf world, but imply managed to use up too much of my ISP allowance. So CasHits will be the only one I use. I'll try it out for in December.

I'm also started checking out the Paid Search programs. Many forum members are making most of their money in this area. I'm starting with GravitySearch. Although as soon as I signed up, they removed the lovely thread that used to let everyone exchange searches for each other. That was how everyone managed to make so much money - exchanging searches.

The Get Paid Industry is changing so fast, that I have now set up a BLOG, to keep you much more up-to-date. Check it out at Get Paid Read Email Blog. Very very easy to use.

My biggest earners in November were AYS, AprilGolds and Annies. Someting about the letter A?

A little disappointed with ClickCorporation - so many contest links lately instead of big cash emails, and Sun, Eagle and Ceasar aren't earning as fast as I had hoped, although they are sending lots of emails.

But the big one for December will hopefully be Mamma Mia Mails A good, experienced webmistress is always a good start.
