Introduction

A big welcome to all new subscribers. I hope you enjoy my home business tips and feedback. And don't forget to visit the Private Members site to see if there are any new freebies there. The password will be in my last email.

Fr33bies

I haven't put anything new in the member site this month. Hopefully you've already seen the free Encyclopedia I put there.

If you haven't already bought it, you can get a free trial download of SEO Elite. And I would definitely signup for the free newsletter offered there. SEO isn't rocket science - the newsletter really does reveal everything you need to do. Making the effort to build your site right and getting incoming links is all there really is.

And Affiliate Classroom has a free newsletter series worth reading.

Marketing and Tech Tips

There have been a swag of new tools come out in the last few weeks, which I'm sure you've heard about if you are on anyone else's mailing list.

The most recent has been Jason Potash's Article Announcer. I haven't bought it. I have already filled up my little online credit card with some other decent purchases this month, and am trying desperately to avoid overloading myself with more products that I may not use in the short term.

Every man and his dog has been pronouncing the latest great secret for getting free traffic is by writing articles. Programs have sprung up offering pre-written articles that you can rename as your own. Article Announcer (apart from training in articles) automates the process of submitting articles to the right places. Which sounds very useful. But if you aren't writing articles (shame on you and me), then it isn't something you will use.

Although I am planning to write an article this week on my favourite free keyword research tools, and will manually submit it, just to see the impact on my traffic. I'm pretty proud of the research I've done on tools, and have found some really good ones.

Business Programs

I couldn't believe it. The first time I mentioned Corey Rudl in my blog was on June 1. And the very next day he passed away in a racing crash. I had been discussing with good friends buying his landmark Insider Secrets, updated for 2005, and was utterly shocked to hear the terrible news. I had just decided to really put every effort into succeeding online, and Insider Secrets was the obvious learning system to follow. So when his office decided to do one last tribute to Corey by donating $50 from each purchase to charity, and also including a free copy of his Ultimate Seminar Videos until July 15, I decided to purchase the 2005 version myself. Can't wait until they come.

Earlier in the month I had also purchased SEO Elite, a fantastic tool for managing SEO optimisation of websites. I am seriously into optimising my sites, as it is the best long-term method for generating traffic in my opinion, so it was definitely a worthwhile purchase, for things like finding new link partners, verifying backlinks and more.

And my third purchase this month was in response to the other main factor for success online: having a mentor. I signed up for Affiliate Classroom. I have spent most of this week reading through all the information on the site, and still haven't finished it, despite being a fast enough reader to finish each Harry Potter novel the first day I get it. Affiliate Classroom has a LOT of information, real live case studies, and a forum where the owner promises will only contain truthful answers. In comparison to a different niche membership site I dallied briefly with, this one has serious content.

Paid Email/Survey/Surf

Well YourPTR has to win the award for sending the most emails in a month. Todays bunch had a sizeable number for real cash - not just the frequent points. But it does have a high payout to reach....

So Electric Blue Clicks has to be the overall quality winner, because of its longevity, and repeated payouts. Definitely the best performing PTR program in my portfolio.
